RainSoft’s History and Innovation Timeline

1953

RainSoft Is Founded

John Grayson starts RainSoft in the basement of his house in Bensenville, IL. Soon after RainSoft moves to its first corporate facility in town.

1954

First RainSoft Cabinet Softener

Grayson develops first cabinet softener – the Apollo.

1957

More Manufacutring Space

Solid growth requires more manufacturing space, and in 1957, RainSoft moved into their 2nd facility in Elk Grove Village.

1963

RainSoft Makes Big Strides

The early 60’s saw RainSoft make big strides in terms of growth, brand awareness and becoming a leader in the industry. The company saw itself move into its 4th facility in a decade.

First Computerized Control Valve

Industry’s first computerized control valve introduced – the RainSoft “Q” Valve

1984
