RainSoft Water Treatment Systems To Sponsor 2008 Chicago Air & Water Show

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. (July 31, 2008) – RainSoft Water Treatment Systems, the 55-year old manufacturer of residential water treatment and air purification products, announced today that its company spokesperson, Florence Henderson, will participate in the 50th Air & Water Show in Chicago, Illinois, held August 15 through 17, 2008.

RainSoft is dedicated to helping improve the quality of life of its customers and their families by offering them environmentally responsible air and water treatment solutions in their homes. This includes drinking water, which the company will focus on during the Air & Water Show with its water bottle recycling initiative. “RainSoft is excited to offer consumers healthy, quality drinking water using environmentally conscious solutions,” stated company spokesperson, Florence Henderson. In support of this, throughout the weekend, the company will offer Air & Water Show spectators the opportunity to recycle their plastic water bottles at recycling stations located at the RainSoft tent. “Our recycling efforts are being supported and operated by the City of Chicago,” Henderson said. “We are thrilled the city is partnering with us on this critical initiative,” she added.

The company sites consumer concerns around making the best choices when it comes to the health and well being of their families combined with serious environmental impact statistics as the driving forces behind RainSoft’s go-to-market strategy of environmentally responsible air and water treatment solutions. According to the Earth Policy Institute, the environmental consequences of manufacturing, transporting and disposing plastic water bottles requires more than 15 million barrels of oil annually, enough to fuel 100,000 cars for a year. In addition, the Container Recycling Institute (CRI) claims that for every 10 water bottles sold, only two water

bottles make it to a recycling center. “We are strongly committed to providing healthier, contaminant-free drinking water choices to consumers without adding to the alarming statistics impacting our environment,” said RainSoft Chief Marketing Officer, Mark Vance. “RainSoft’s philosophy is to provide bottled water quality without the bottle,” Vance added. Spectators are encouraged to stop by the RainSoft tent on Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. to recycle their empty water bottles and receive a reusable RainSoft Camelbak™ water bottle, while supplies last. If visitors drop by the tent on Sunday at 1 p.m., they have an opportunity to meet Florence Henderson.

Henderson will participate in the Air & Water Show throughout the weekend, beginning with a ride-a-long with the Naperville, Illinois-based Lima Lima Flight Team during Media Day on Thursday, August 14 at the Gary Airport in Gary, Indiana. She continues her visit with a performance of the National Anthem at 3:00 p.m. CDT on Friday, August 15 at the North Avenue Beach Boat House.
